Similar Obstruction, Same Place - Maxis Tower, KLCC

Another obstructed pedestrian access way at Maxis Tower, KLCC. The alternative inner pedestrian access way at the same place is equally partially inaccessible.

Note that prior to posting on this blog, I have attempted to email these pictures to KLCC management, but without much success.

The email address given by the duty security personnel were either non-existence or not receiving emails.

Till we meet again, walk safely.

Pedestrian Walkway at Maxis Tower, KLCC

Lot of money spent on world-class infrastructure, only to be made inaccessible by imposing cones and chain.

Not satisfied with this blatant disregard for pubic convenience, I approached one of the duty security personnel who, to his credit, duly called his superior to try and explain to poor me the rationale or "irrationale" of such unnecessary infringement.

AND, am told that the cones and chains are necessary deterrent to prevent unauthorised parking of motorcycles; and this is an instruction from above.

What about the unnecessary inconvenience to pedestrians, I asked. Well, pedestrian can walk around the cones, or elsewhere (pointing to the road)! What about road safety?

Well, the towering block may be world-class but one obviously inhabited by third-world technocrats devoid of pedestrian safety!
